Dear Friends:

What a week! We met with our Publisher YouthSpecilties/Zondervan in Colorado Springs and are looking forward to the release of 36 Parables by YS/Zondervan in September 2008. Between now and then, we have a few more film projects in the works. "36 Parables: The Decalogue," and "Covenants" modern re-tellings of major biblical events and themes.

As I mentioned last week I'm also working on a book. Here's an except from "Cinematography And The Bible"

Cinematography is the art of writing with light. A visual image or sequence of images is created that ultimately Illuminate a person's understanding of a given story, concept, thrill, exhibition or art. Written language creates mental images and therefore is a form of cinematography as well. Words, whether spoken or written illuminate metaphysical, (supernatural) light in the mind. Helping us "see" what is beyond our grasp.

There is only one natural law of the Universe, which we only partially "see." In the physical world we can only see the tip of the iceberg. We know there's a lot more there than meets the eye. The 66 Books of the Bible function to Illuminated Understanding in the mind of anyone who reads or hears its ancient words. So as we begin this discussion of the Bible as a cinema masterpiece of visual stimulation, remember the words of the critically acclaimed "Hip-Hop" artist "Ghostface": "I move through the third world, my third eye my guiding light".

That's it for this week. May you be successful in your search for ways to see beyond the visual spectrum and experience God's Illumination of your Understanding.

The Cinematographer,

Stewart H. Redwine
