Dear Friends,

A couple of years ago the future didn’t look all that bright for 36 Parables. We made the best films we could, but we didn’t have enough money to let people know about them. We thought we would have to shut off the lights.

Then we began recruiting Friends of 36. We offered the entire collection before it was completed to those who wanted to help us continue to illuminate understanding. Thanks to our Friends, we not only kept the lights on, we have achieved one of our major goals. We were offered a publishing deal with YouthSpecialties. Even though we now have a big time publisher we will ship all Friends of 36 all the upcoming titles, as they are released, starting with Blue and Yellow.

Friends of 36 have been there for us in more than just financial ways. They have prayed, supported, suggested books and movies for us to check out, corrected the grammar in my weekly newsletter, and continued to remind us to never give up.

In particular, one of our longest Friends of 36 is Walter Koschnitzke. He has been with us almost since the beginning. He helped us focus on our goals and see that what we are really doing is “Illuminating Understanding.” Walt edits my newsletter and articles, writes our ads, keeps us honest in our creativity, clear in our communication and was instrumental in our publishing deal with Zondervan –YouthSpecialties.

Thanks to our Friends of 36 we will continue to illuminate understanding as long as we can and delight in the relationships we have formed with all of you over the years while we’ve pursued our dreams.
